Amir Foods, Inc. was established in 1993 by three brothers: Tony, Sam, and Butch Rassi. Their company supplies fresh foods such as
assorted flavors of hummus, baba ghannouj, assorted flavors of pita chips, taboule,
brown rice salad, chick pea salad, lentil salad, vegetarian stuffed grape leaves, and spinach pies. These foods are sold to grocery and health food stores throughout the Cleveland and
Pittsburgh areas and in surrounding states.
In the spring of 1996, the Rassi's expanded the company and moved to a new plant
in South Euclid, located on Mayfield Road one block west of Green Road.
The Rassi's have built their business on a solid foundation: top quality and family pride. Amir products are guaranteed to be the best and freshest of Mediterranean cuisine.
The Rassi's have successfully upheld their motto "Healthy Food for Better Living." Amir's will continue to deliver the freshest and most natural products to all their patrons because Amir Foods has become a way of life for many people.

"It is easy to tell the difference between tourists and serious cooks strolling the aisles of bustling open-air markets in Mediterranean countries. The cooks have canvas or net shopping bags dangling at their sides, and are gently squeezing tomatoes, rubbing parsley leaves, sniffing the perfume of heavy spices.
It's the way we would shop in this country, if we had the time. Often we don't, so Butch Rassi, president of Amir Foods in Cleveland, has done the shopping -- and the cooking -- for us.
With his brothers, Sam and Tony, he has been spicing up the deli sections of Cleveland grocers and a few restaurants with authentic, handmade Mediterranean food." |
